“Under Stars”// Brian Eno // Apollo: Atmospheres And Soundtracks
The Under Stars/Stars triplet on Apollo is some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard; quiet and delicate yet vast and sweeping.
one of my favourite ambient albums right here.
this new double-album is one of the first things that has bought a smile to my face in a good week. Do yourself a favour and buy it.
contain some of the most beautiful, melancholic, quiet, provocative musical compositions I’ve ever heard.
Midnight City //M83
New single from M83. So good. Don’t know why it’s popped up on Only Ambient…but impressive nonetheless :)
Rushing - Moby
Moby is a musical genius. He has songs for every mood or thought. This track is reflective and melancholic. There is hope, however.
Opening track from Moby’s new ‘Destroyed’
So good. Can’t wait to hear what the remaining tracks hold.
Lovers of slow jam, electronica with dashes of ambience and guitars from all corners of the globe - may I point your musical attention to Emancipator.
I came across his album on Bandcamp and have been delightfully shocked at the production and creativity behind this apparent ‘unknown’ artist (not hard considering he isn’t lame-pop or NZ rap). I urge you to check him out and listen to some of the previews. Beautiful music.
Brian Eno - Thursday Afternoon (1985)
3rd Favourite album right now.
Needed this recently, just needed to feel totally relaxed.
just got this in the mail. Excellent so far. One album, a single track, 60-minutes in length. Soothes the soul.
If I could craft my own band, I’d base it on Zero 7. Everything I love about music…ambience, space, groove, and amazing soundscapes. I wish they’d come to Australia though. Stinkin’ British bands who never leave their countries…
