Dreaming is such a peculiar thing. We lead these completely normal, rational lives (or we kid ourselves that we do), and then every night we close our eyes and go stark raving mad for eight hours. I love that. It’s a level of reality that I’ve always thought is every bit as important and interesting as the life you live day by day.

Neil Gaiman. You are my hero.

Stories you read when you’re the right age never quite leave you. You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called. Sometimes you’ll forget precisely what happened, but if a story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places in your mind that you rarely ever visit.

In a multi-tasking world where pure focus is harder and harder to come by, paper’s seclusion from the Web is an emerging strength. There’s nothing like holding a sheaf of beautifully designed pages in your hands. The whole world slows down, and your mind with it.

Holiday reading. Cannot wait. Nearly finished Hamlet’s BlackBerry. Highly recommend it to anyone who lives in the digital age and wonders ‘why?’ from time to time. Am happy to lend.

Me in a few weeks. Blue Mountains. You don’t do much for my obsession with vinyl and books. Giddy up.
Can’t wait to kick back, get deep into God’s word, and have some quality discussion with friends.
Time and space await.
