Check out these guys. A supergroup made from A-ha, Coldplay and Mew called ‘Apparatjik’. They love letting their fans contribute to their music, and in return give away a lot of their material for free. deadmau5 & Kaskade - I Remember
I know. It’s very very house-like music. But the chord sequence in this song is mesmerizing.
A great pick up of 2012. One of my preferred compilation albums of my musical journey so far. Filled to the brim of all sorts of cool Scandinavian synth-vagabonds, African afro-beat gangs, and other adventurous artists.
Lovers of slow jam, electronica with dashes of ambience and guitars from all corners of the globe - may I point your musical attention to Emancipator.
I came across his album on Bandcamp and have been delightfully shocked at the production and creativity behind this apparent ‘unknown’ artist (not hard considering he isn’t lame-pop or NZ rap). I urge you to check him out and listen to some of the previews. Beautiful music.
